  • Promoting contests for students

    • Junior American Citizens Awards - Over 35 national winners were sponsored by Port Tobacco Chapter, NSDAR, in 2019

    • American History Essay Contest

    • DAR Good Citizens award

    • Charles County History Day Award

    • Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) awards

  • Holding an annual Student Awards Ceremony and Reception at the Maryland Veterans Museum

  • Collecting and donating a carload of school supplies to the children of active-duty personnel at the Chemical Biological Incident Response Force (CBIRF)

  • Sponsoring and leading a field trip to Port Tobacco Village and the Thomas Stone National Historic Site with Stoddert Middle School

  • Donating to provide a portrait of George Washington in all Charles County Schools
